We have recently introduced new techniques of analysis in studies of risk of Palm trees palms. This is one of the vegetable elements that present greater difficulty when it comes to risk studies are really effective in the detection of dangerous elements. The increasing presence of Rhynchophorus ferrugineus in this species (at the level of Stipe!) has done nothing but increase their risk of breakage.
Aside from the methodology that we were already using, we have introduced new techniques that allow us to detect cracks at a level that is highly premature. This facilitates the detection of potentially dangerous individuals, allowing us to make a much more thorough visual and instrumental evaluation and determine their level of endangerment.
At the same time, we have developed a protocol for management of this species to reduce the appearance of the plague of Boll weevil level Stipe very efficiently.
